Apocalypse? How?

Preparing for Apocalypse is always a big exercise in planning. No matter how much you plan on though, you really need to take the time to make sure all the players are going to show up and make sure that they actually bring their stuff to play the game. After all, without these things there can be no game.

 From our last Apocalypse game

Well, such planning is going on right now, and we're taking the time to get our forces together and balanced.  We're also trying to cram as much as we can into the game. So far I've arranged a 12" by 12" foot playing surface the tables connected together using bridges so that the players can step into the table and move units without having to use a crane! To help facilitate the movement of units, we're setting up a series of tunnels.

Diagonally, corner to corner this will measure 203" across, so this means that the mighty Earthshaker still need not check for range.

Here's what we want to bring into the game for super heavies, it's not going to be a small fight, and I'm hoping that it all actually gets finished:

  • Eldar Cobra
  • Eldar Storm Serpent
  • Eldar Void Spinner
  • Eldar Revenant Titan
  • Imperial Reaver Titan
  • Imperial Warhound Titan [3] (Yes, they could all fit in a Ventari Titan Manciple )
  • Thunderhawk Gunship
  • Tau Manta
  • Tau Tigershark
  • Necron Pylon
  • Necron Aeonic Orb
  • Chaos Warhound Titan (Nurgle)
  • Tower of Tzeentch [3]
  • Ork Da Vulcha (Ork Flyer)
  • Ork Stompa
  • Ork Gargant
  • Ork Krawla (Think a really large Thunderhawk on wheels and super Orky. That or a Jawa Sandcrawler from Star Wars.)
Plus, we'll be planting tons of stuff on the table in terms of normal troops, spilling out out entire collections to make the biggest, baddest and most fierce battle I've ever played in. My excitement is starting to grow.

That's quite the list of superheavies. I have never actually seen a Manta on the table. If nothing else gets done, that's the one I want to see.

It's kind of funny to look back on that battle last year now. It seems so small compared to what we're about to bring out now.

...Oh wait, it is!

Some of you may feel sorry for that battle. That is because you are crazy -- it has no feelings, and the new one is much better!

Apocalypse. Unboring!
